We understand what you're going through

This Decision Feels Impossible.
We Know.

You've been carrying this weight for months. Maybe years. The guilt, the research, the late-night searches. You're not just looking for a "facility." You're looking for a place worthy of the person who raised you.

The Guilt That Keeps You Up at Night

"Am I doing the right thing?" You love your parent. You wonder if choosing assisted living means you've somehow let them down. That feeling doesn't go away by ignoring it. It goes away when you find the right place.

The Fear of Cold, Corporate Care

You've toured places that felt like hospitals with wallpaper. Staff who knew room numbers but not names. You're terrified of leaving your parent somewhere that treats them like a chart instead of a person.

The Overwhelm of Too Many Options

Five tours. Ten websites. Dozens of review pages. Every place says they're "the best." But none of them have made you feel at ease. You're exhausted from researching and still don't feel confident.

The Distance Worry

Whether you live across town or across the country, you can't always be there. You need to know—truly know—that someone is watching over your parent with the same care you would give them yourself.

What makes us different

Built on a Mission. Run Like a Family.

The Inn at Belden Village was never meant to be just another senior living community. It was built because one man believed that seniors deserved better—and that belief shapes every single day here.

Mission-Driven Care

Founded on a commitment to provide care, comfort, and compassion. Not profit margins. Not investor targets. Just genuine, person-first senior care since the year 2000.

24-Hour Nursing Staff

Registered nurses on-site around the clock. Not a call button that rings to an off-site service. Real nurses, real care, every hour of every day and night.

The Family Philosophy

Our staff operates by one simple question: "What would you do if this were your own mother or father?" That's the standard. Every interaction. Every decision. Every day.

"If you are ever in doubt about what to do for a resident, consider what you would do if it were your mother and father."
The Inn's Guiding Principle — Since 2000

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to live at The Inn?
Pricing depends on the level of care your loved one needs. We offer personalized assessments so you know exactly what's included—no hidden fees, no surprises. Contact us to schedule a tour and receive a custom pricing guide based on your family's situation.
I feel guilty about moving my parent into assisted living. Is that normal?
Absolutely. Nearly every family we welcome has carried that same feeling. Here's what they tell us after a few weeks: the guilt transforms into relief. They see their parent socializing, eating well, receiving around-the-clock care—and they realize they didn't give up on their parent. They gave them something better. You're not abandoning anyone. You're choosing love.
What if my parent has Alzheimer's or dementia?
Our Memory Care wing is specially designed for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. We use the Vigil Security system for safety, and our staff are trained in memory care best practices. Your loved one receives the specialized attention they need in a secure, compassionate environment.
What happens if my parent's health needs change over time?
The Inn offers a full continuum of care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Nursing Care, Respite Care, and Hospice Care. If your parent's needs evolve, they don't have to move to a new facility. Our team adjusts the care plan so your loved one can stay in the community they know and love.
Can I visit my parent anytime?
Yes. We encourage family involvement and welcome visitors. This is your parent's home, and your presence is always valued. We also offer regular events and activities that families can attend together.
How do I know if my parent is ready for assisted living?
Common signs include difficulty managing daily activities (cooking, bathing, medications), increased isolation, safety concerns at home, or a recent health change. If you're even asking the question, it may be time to explore options. Schedule a tour with us—there's no pressure, and our team can help you assess whether The Inn would be a good fit.

The people behind the care

Meet The Team Behind The Inn

Nan Gammill, Executive Director of The Inn at Belden Village

Nan Gammill

Executive Director, The Inn at Belden Village

Nan leads The Inn with the same personal commitment that inspired its founding. Under her direction, the community continues to uphold its core promise: every resident receives care rooted in compassion, dignity, and genuine love.

For Nan, this isn't a business. It's a calling. She knows the families who walk through The Inn's doors are making one of the hardest decisions of their lives—and she's committed to making sure that decision leads to peace of mind, not regret.

Founded With a Personal Mission

The Inn at Belden Village was founded in 2000 by Dr. C. Herschel Gammill through Cathedral of Life Ministries. Dr. Gammill saw that too many seniors were receiving care that lacked heart. He envisioned a community where every resident would be treated the way he would want his own parents treated. That vision became The Inn—and 25 years later, it still drives everything they do.

The mission has never changed: "To provide care, comfort, and compassion to the local senior population who has physical or memory care needs."
